Postcards have a long history in postal
communications. Being an important institution, the Shuang Lin Monastery has
been featured since its founding in 1898.
The postcard on the right is one of the
earliest examples. It was printed in England and the postmark dated 4 pm 7 Sept
1932.
The old postcards have become a valuable
source of information to understand and record the development of the monastery
and of society.
Cultural Compass postcards serves to record
the monastery today and function as a means to generate funds through the tours
for charity and social purposes.

About cc Koh: Walking down the city, I
see life, through the lens. As an engineer, I work among numbers and formulas.
Only through photography, I could share my passion of life with audience. Though
it¨s only a thousand more days I live with photography, it is to be sure, a part
of my life. Even if I am still far away to be called professional, it has been
already a bound between reality and dream; a tie, between the audience and I.
Living in topsy-turvy world, I am glad my camera is still in my hand.
